Rebecca Price and Tammy McWhorter, both in the Office of Counseling Services, set up a table in the lobby of the Winters Dining Hall during the lunch hours where students, faculty and staff put names on a card that made the American flag and then their veteran was presented with a red, white and blue ribbon. “We realize that there might be soldiers who are students here who might benefit from counseling services, and it gives us the opportunity to put a face to a name,” McWhorter said. Mar’Rajaah McDaniel, a CU student from Louisville, honored her grandfather, and cousin, former Marines, at “Veterans Day means a lot to me. I enjoy calling and telling my grandfather and cousin and telling them how much I appreciate them and what they’ve done for this country,” McDaniel said.   From left, students Bethany Lester and Brittany Lester, both of Danville, Ky.,  and Taylor Beals of Bowling Green, Ky., show the veterans pins that were given to veterans.
