CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Shajuana Rosalia Ditto, a May graduate of Campbellsville University, has been employed as an admissions counselor, according to an announcement by Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.
Ditto will be serving and recruiting from the Western Kentucky region which includes the following counties: Allen, Ballard, Breckinridge, Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Edmonson, Fulton, Graves, Grayson, Hancock, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Livingston, Logan, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, McLean, Meade, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Simpson, Todd, Trigg, Union, Warren and Webster.
Ditto is a May 9 graduate of CU having received a bachelor of science degree in sports ministry and athletic coaching.
“Working in Admissions for me has been wonderful thus far! The atmosphere is positive, the people arelike my second family, I'm accepted, I'm loved, and respected as an individual. Who wouldn't want to work in this type of atmosphere all the time?” Ditto said.
“Admissions for me means being on ‘a divine mission' — a mission to find the best students, to pray for those students and to represent Campbellsville the best way possible in love, faith and through encouragement!” she said.
“Who wouldn't want to go to a small school with big possibilities?” she said.
Ditto received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award at commencement for her servant leadership and Christian commitment.
During her four years at Campbellsville University, has served in a number of leadership positions on campus and in the community including: CU resident assistant, FIRST CLASS mentor, involvement in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, working in the Big Brother Big Sister organization, freshman class president, Student Government Association President this year, and working as a Sunday School teacher for teenagers at Campbellsville's First Baptist Church for three years. She is involved in music ministry in her church work and on the CU campus as a member of the gospel choir assembled by the African American Leadership Council.
She was named the 2006 second runner-up in the football Homecoming queen contest, was named CU football Homecoming queen in 2007, received the female student Servant Leadership Award in 2008, and named to “Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” in 2009.
She previously served as SGA vice president and was involved with the Upward Basketball and Lady Tigers Volleyball team.
Ditto is a native of Brandenburg, Ky., and is a 2005 graduate of Meade County High School. She is the daughter of John and Lawanna Ditto.
