CAMPEBLLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's School of Music presents the Christmas Tapestry. The concert will be presented at Ransdell Chapel Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., with last year's Tapestry being aired on KETKY and CU's WLCU-TV throughout December.

“The School of Music and Campbellsville University sincerely appreciates all the support and [we] hope the gift of this concert will be well received,” said Dr. Lisa McArthur, professor of music.

The Tapestry will feature a variety of seasonal and non-seasonal music in a program that includes choral music, instrumental ensembles, hand bells, CU Jazz Orchestra, University Orchestra, and more.

“We are thankful for all of the support we receive throughout the year - through concert attendance, community participation in ensembles, local ensembles performing on our campus, donations to the Friends of Music, and much more,” she said.

The Tapestry also includes several musical selections of ensembles, including: University Brass Ensemble, University Piano Ensemble, University Tuba Ensemble, University Flute Ensemble, Jazz Combo and a Steel Pan Solo.

“We also hope it will open the door for more people to visit our campus and attend events,” she said.

New, unwrapped toys will also be collected for Toys for Tots at the Tapestry. The toys will be distributed to local children by Taylor County/Campbellsville EMS and Firefighters.

Ransdell Chapel is located at 401 N. Hoskins, Campbellsville on CU's campus.

WLCU-TV will telecast an edited version of last year's 2012 Tapestry at 7 p.m. on Saturdays on Dec. 7; Dec. 14; Dec. 21; and Dec. 28 on Xfinity Comcast Cable channel 10 in Campbellsville.
